Gorgeous Modern Bedroom Ideas
I rarely post on my home and lifestyle category. Hmm, an oversight. And lest you think I live in North Face Tents, I’m posting some pretty modern-contemporary bedroom designs.
Most of us women have an interest in home decor and the task of decorating the home is often left to us. So I’m usually always on the lookout for some home design eye candies.
I’ve been browsing HGTV and got so enamored with some of the bedroom designs. My style always veers towards modern and contemporary but I also steer clear of too minimalistic designs. I want something homey and modern.

love the bed and the headboard with LED lighting is gorgeous! the flooring on this bedroom is also fab.

nice little details and the color scheme is very easy on the eyes.

contemporary with art deco touches. perfect for those with artistic sensibilities.. love the wallprint!

warm and inviting color scheme. i find the walls a little too busy with artwork though and if its me i would do away with that abstract painting and the lime green vase.

perfection..
And all these in here are just LOVE. Gorgeous, right. I’m sure we could all get inspired and pick out an idea or two from these.

It’s amazing how quickly babies develop as they begin to explore the world around them.
When your child is still very small, a good bouncer is an essential part of your equipment, providing stimulation when needed or a good place to nod off when they are tired, and also keeping your baby happy so you get the chance to do a few quick jobs done round the house.
There are a huge range of baby bouncers out there to pick from, whether you want something lightweight and easily foldable that you can take on your travels or something fancier with music, variable vibrations and a toy arch for visual stimulation.
With great brands such as Mamas and Papas, Ladybird, Fisher-Price and Chicco to choose from these, you’ll soon find the ideal place to sit your baby when your arms need a rest from all that carrying.
Check out baby bouncers online to get a feel for what’s available on the market.A baby swing might be more suitable if your child likes to be gently rocked to sleep, and anything that helps them catch 40 winks during the day makes life easier for you.
Some little ones have a lot of energy to burn, which can be frustrating for them when they are still unable to walk, so a rocking horse can be the perfect way to let off some steam. Once your child starts learning to walk, sitting still will no longer suit them and you need to think about finding something that promotes their development.
Baby walkers can help with the switch from crawling to walking by encouraging leg use and muscle development while assisting with their balance. Many also have toys attached, along with lights and music to keep them amused.
A walker activity centre toy from Vtech Baby, Fisher-Price or Megabloks is another way to encourage their early steps while ensuring they always have a toy close at hand wherever they get to.
If you’re looking to buy a gift for expectant parents then a baby bouncer, walker or swing make a thoughtful present that will also provide genuine assistance in those challenging early months.

Yup, it belatedly hit me. That Christmas is just around the corner and that I get to do my favorite ‘chore’ for the year. Putting up the tree and shopping for ornaments for christmas! Yes, this one beats shopping for gifts on my list. For some reason I love decorating. I do wish I was in my parent’s place though. They have a huge house and me and my brother were usually given the free reign on what to do for Christmas decor.
As for our place, well, I’m going for something simple and not too much. Preferably with silver, gold and crystals. Lots of silver. And I’m actually kind of drooling over these cutesy ornaments from Free People.
And these pretty mason jar snowglobes from Anthropologie.

4 Stylish Lounge Chairs
For some reason I’m quite drawn to home furnishings this time. Notice the lack of posts about fashion. Hahaha I do plan to rectify that soon. But for now let me indulge in my home furnishing mania.
I was looking for a nice lounging chair I could use for a reading nook in my ‘home office’ in planning. I could probably not be able to buy this online but I was still looking for some ideas or design base if I ever decide to have some customized here. I want something really comfy, stylish and of course, I am quite picky about the upholstery fabric. No itchy fabric or PVC type upholstery for me.
From several sites I’ve browsed, here’s what I liked.
Spruce Street Chair – $1,550 @ Serena and Lily
Ralph Lauren Langholm Chair – $1,399 @ Lord & Taylor
Canyon Chair – $1,850 @ Serena and Lily
Marjorie Chair – $1498 @ Anthropologie
I must say though, these stuff doesn’t come cheap but I do like the designs I might pick one and have the design custom made. I’m sure a furniture shop can make a decent if not exact copy.

It’s a girl thing too. I like looking at home decor and home styling ideas. I love pretty things and let’s face it, its a lot better than checking out motorhome repair, IMO. But I’m also wary about spending big bucks on decor. Thankfully a lot of online shops constantly have sales on home decor essentials.

I’ve been hopping about and picking out home decor items currently on sale. Here’s some random fab picks:

Aha! It seems I have forgotten this blog has a home and living category. Hmm, I must have been pretty much hooked on fashion finds the past months. But let me correct that lapse with a post on home and living. If you ask me, one of the furnishings in the home that I most interested in.. nope not garage door parts. Teehee. Bathroom vanities.
You know that’s where we stow our precious beautifying products and thats where we clean up, peer in the mirror for horrors! acne, wrinkles? and whatnots. If I am to redo our house again, I would most definitely take time picking out a bathroom vanity. Here’s what I would pick…
Legion Furniture WA3138 Single Bathroom Vanity Cabinet from HomeLivingStyle – I love the clean sleek lines. The uncluttered look, and of course plenty of storage for trinkets.
Romi Double Bathroom Vanity Set – from HomeLivingStyle – very contemporary and has a very chic, boutique hotel look
Heirloom Single Bathroom Vanity Chest from HomeLivingStyle – if I opt for a decor that is opulent, I would love to have this vintage looking vanity. Lovely isnt it?
