Changes..For the Better?
In my mind and plans. Yes, at least hopefully, these changes would bring out a better Feminine Reveries. I have just finished reorganizing my other site and I’m turning my attention to this blog. Mainly because I think I’ve got too much categories that I’m getting confused here. Hmm, how typical of me. But I intend to downsize and streamline everything.
I hope I won’t get disctracted {again!} by things I stumble upon, so auto shop software please stay away from me. I’ve got a blog to work on. If you see weird things moving here and there on this blog, please bear with me. That would just be me, deleting stuff and re-labeling my posts.
But fret not, my favorite posts like Handbag Picks, Shoe Picks would still remain as well as Pretty Things on Sale.

Happy Mother’s Day…
I can’t let this pass of course..Belated my greetings may be but I want to celebrate with every mom. Being a mom is a gift, a privilege. It may be a life filled with sacrifices but nothing else is as satisfying as being a mother.
And now that I’m a mom myself, I am all the more appreciative and grateful to my own mom. For me, she is the best mom there is. And I could never thank her enough for everything..
~~oOo~~
I had a very quiet Mother’s Day celebration.
Quiet but happy. I was with the people whom I dearly love. My husband and daughter of course. I can only wish my mom and dad were with us too..But still grateful that they are there, even though they are far from me.
Now its Monday, back to the grind for me. Got tons to do and have to visit www.wholesaleinsurance.net. Hope you moms had a great Mother’s Day and lets all look forward to a great week as well.
Read MoreOnly in My Dreams #5: Lanvin, Azzaro + Accessories
I was in a dress up myself lavishly mood yesterday, so I went shopping. Only virtually and I did put everything in cart but left everything there. I love surf shopping online, creating looks, picking items I like. It’s weird but it satisfy my craving to shop and I don’t spend even a dime.
Anyway, here’s what I fancied yesterday. And it just occurred to me that these stuff are so expensive {for me} so its going to my Only in My Dreams category. The cheapest thing is the Halston Heritage clutch bag ($245) and that is even still expensive for a cheapskate like me..
All items from Net-a-Porter.com
- Lanvin – Cotton and silk-blend strapless dress – $4955 – very feminine, and I love the soft neutral shade. Very easy to accessorize and perfect for cocktail parties.
- Lanvin – Sac Oulouette satin clutch – $750 – elegant. Something I would love to have and can use for different events and can match a lot of colors.
- Erickson Beamon – Razor Edge Necklace – $980 – romantic yet has that cool edgy appeal. I would love to wear this with the Lanvin dress, the necklace would give the otherwise ultra feminine dress a little bit of rock chick look.
- Christian Louboutin – Canonita 100 crepe-satin sandals – $995. Super elegant, and I just love that ruffle embellishment.
- Azzaro – Jehanne tie-front leather dress – $4720 – sooo glamorous. I would definitely feel like a million dollars with this one.
- Annina Vogel – Rock Chick charm necklace – $1470 -vintage-y and has a very understated appeal. I wanna pair it with the Azzaro dress. The dress itself is attention grabbing (IMO =P) so I want something subtle but feminine and this necklace is IT.
- Jimmy Choo – Nexus snakeskin and lace sandals – $1295. Ohhh I love this. It’s a statement shoe and has that totally glamorous urban look.If there is one thing among this list that I would really consider buying for real. This is it.
- Halston Heritage – Alice oversized pleated leather clutch – $245. With up the glamor ante of any outfit.
Personal Blurbs..
I’m on the last week of our Philippine vacation and just yesterday I took stock of things I have accomplished and what I should be rushing to do the next couple of days. Well, right now I’m on the verge of tearing my hair out coz I totally forgot processing for my school transcript of records. I lost my original copy and since I’m planning to go back to school I’ll be needing it for the application.
I was thinking it’ll just need a day or two to process like last time so I put off going to my old school and just yesterday I learned it may take a few weeks to get everything done! Duh?! That is frustrating! To think they have computerized everything so how come it takes longer time to process?
It’s the same thing with passport processing here in the Philippines. Before it could take less than two weeks, shorter if you get it from regional consular offices but now that they have this online, computerized blah blah, you have to wait a couple of months before seeing your passport which just beats the purpose of having it computerized. I was hoping it’ll make the process more streamlined, organized hence faster but I’m dead wrong. So this is really a dilemma now for my mom who is planning to get her passport so she could go to Cambodia next year.
Anyway, thank God, I’m done with most of my other errands. I’m also done checking out a new car insurance for my parents. We were also planning to scout and do some touring of model houses in Cavite but I think we have limited time for that so that’l be shelved till I come back for another vacation. Hopefully by December..
So, what to do with my school transcript? I’ll still process the application and would probably just arrange to have it picked up or mailed..
Read MoreJust My Two Cents About Smoking..
I don’t smoke. But I’m not so ignorant about it. I did try to smoke when I was in my early 20’s, impressionable and holding a very pressure-filled job. Smoking didn’t do anything for me, I found no pleasure from it, nor did it relieve me of stress. I have simply done it because of peer pressure.
But after a few months I realized that the habit was not doing anything for me. Everything about it is negative, so I made the decision to stop. I never found it hard to stop since the habit has not really been deeply ingrained on me yet. I simply think of the negatives and it was that easy to stop.
I’m not about to be hypocritical and start lecturing those who still have the habit of smoking. It’s their choice and everyone have different reasons for making that choice. But I do care about the negative effects of smoking to people. Just like my sister who is a chronic smoker, I’ve been trying to coax her into giving it up to no avail. To make things worse, she also has asthma and I’m scared for her health’s sake. But I refuse to give up, and hopefully someday before its too late she realizes the ill effects of smoking.
There are enormous health consequence with smoking. Not just on the person smoking but for others who inhale second hand smoke. Specially with kids, friends and relatives who smokes knows me well enough not to smoke anywhere near my daughter coz for sure I’ll be hitting the ceiling.
