Skin Care and Make Up Mania
I’m mad about skin care. I shop like mad for skin care products, but though I’m a bit like a hoarder when it comes to skin care stuff, I always end up giving out what I buy. Lol! I love trying out new things but I always stick to the one that works for me. As for make-up, well…I’m not really that into it before. Mainly coz I’m too lazy to be bothered to put on makeup and also I don’t know how. I guess I didn’t have the patience. I also preferred the natural/nude look on my face {hahaha! that’s an excuse I know..} so I just stick to plain compact powders and lip gloss. I sometimes dab on a little mascara if I’m in a pissy mood but that’s the rest of my makeup regimen.
Lately though, I feel like I want to experiment and learn more about makeup. The only thing I fear though is if I invest on good makeup and end up going back to my old habit of not putting it on. But then I’m all psyched up and at least I would like to give makeup a go. At the very least I want to know how to properly apply an eye liner. At least the next time I need to have a full makeup face, I don’t need to sit for hours in a salon.
So now this has become a bit of mania for me. I’ll be trying out more skin care stuff and will try to learn more about make-up. I know learning how to apply make-up would be like trying to figure out Aquatell.com reverse osmosis and how it works, but I wanna give it a shot. I guess now I fancy myself as a really ‘kikay’ girl.

Read More4 Looks for Fashion-for-Less
Fashion for less? Can you be stylish without going for big brand names and burning a hole in your pocket? Let’s face it, not all of us are born as heirs and heiresses. As much as I love designer brands, most of the time I can’t afford them. But that doesn’t mean one can’t be fashionable on a budget.
That’s why I enjoy hopping around shopping sites looking for fashionable deals. Today’s stop is Kmart. I’m pretty sure most shoppers are familiar with Kmart. Affordable, easy shopping. But do they have stylish enough items? Items that are cheap but definitely chic?
They have lots!!! And you don’t even have to spend a lot to create a really fabulously chic look. Here’s four different looks I created from stuff I saw on Kmart. When put together, all things look like they are worth a thousand bucks.
And really its up to the one who wears it to give it enough vavavoom factor. Sashay with confidence and I don’t think anyone would have the nerve to say you wear cheap clothing.

Read MoreDetoxify Your Facial Skin with Facial Steaming
Facial steaming offers a whole lot of benefits for your skin. It’s the best way to deep cleanse your pores, and therefore helping you get rid of pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and other facial skin impurities.
The steam opens up your pores and loosens clogged dirt, makeup residues, impurities and also dead skin cells. It’s a great way for your body to release toxins which cannot be otherwise be removed by other cleansing methods. For those with oily skin, steaming can be done every other day while those with dry skin should do this at least once a week.
Facial steaming can easily be done at home. You can use what you have at home or if you have it you can also use a facial sauna gadget.
Here’s some tips:
- Cleanse your face thoroughly first by washing with warm water and a mild soap
- Boil a pot of water and add a few slices of lemon or some herbs. For oily skin you can try adding some lemon, peppermint or thyme. For sensitive skin use chamomile or lime. Those with normal skin can use rose, rosemary or lavender.
- Place hot water in a bowl and drape a towel over your head, making a ‘tent’ around the bowl. Stand in front of the steam and let the steam go directly to your face. Do keep your mouth and eyes closed to avoid irritation.
- Steam your face for 15-20 minutes but not more than 20 minutes. If you have ultra sensitive skin then 10-15 minutes would do.
- Once you’re done, rinse your face with warm water and pat gently to dry with a towle
- After steaming, it would be the best time to apply a facial mask, since your skin proes are open and could absorb more.
Personally, this has been very effective for me in removing whiteheads and blackheads. And I do love that feeling of softness and freshness after steaming my face.
Here’s some facial sauna items I found in Amazon.com…
