Girl with An Itchy Feet…
Well…That’s me. To think that I have just been back from more than 6 weeks of absence but I could hardly call what I did traveling. It was a nerve wracking, exhausting 6 weeks (but I don’t want to bore anyone with the details…) so I’m badly in need of being recharged. So what did I do the day after we got back home, I began researching possible travel destinations. Somewhere near enough that I won’t spend days traveling and the expense is minimal. A week’s stay would do and I’m thinking whether to go check in a hotel or if I am to stay longer I should probably look for house for rent by owner.
I’m also contemplating whether I should go alone or with family. I dunno, but sometime I get the urge to have some alone, ‘me’time. But I’m thinking after a day or two I would probably miss hubby and my daughter so perhaps I’ll travel with them then ask for a day away on a spa or something so I could recharge? Hopefully, we could get away this September, which coincides with our 9th year wedding anniversary. I was hoping to make it this month, but husband has a lot of work related travel and August is out of the question since both of us would be really busy. October – November is out since I’ll be traveling back to the Philippines. So September looks good.
Since September is still a little far off, then we’ll be supplementing with some jaunts over to some places near where I am. You know, just to satisfy.. my itchy feet
Handbag Pick of the Week: Miu Miu Leather Trimmed Raffia Tote
There’s is something so casual, breezy yet very chic about this Miu Miu raffia tote with leather trim. I guess I was kinda getting tired of seeing all leather. At least this one has a very interesting texture! This perfect summer tote bag is available at Net-a-Porter for $1,395.

I love that it can be carried and worn different ways. And I do that very chic look shown on the photos. The site says the look includes: Miu Miu cardigan, shorts, Kain top, Philippe Audibert cuff, Daisy Knights ring, K Jacques St Tropez shoes. Check out these items from the link above.

After this I’ll be cruising for some home decor items, metal step stools, home furnishings to feature. I’m kinda in the mood for some home styling as you can see on my previous posts and putting together different fashion looks has taken a back seat. But not to fret, I’m also assembling together some Fashion-for-Less looks and will be posting it soon.
Featured Online Shop: Haute Look
It’s been almost ages since I featured an online shopping site. I still am into online shopping, in fact, I have the feeling this is going to be a lifetime obsession. Lol! But before you get the impression that I have kaboodles of stashed money, well I don’t! I shop very prudently. I always look for sales, coupons and sometimes buy from wholesale sites.
Here’s one site I would sooo love to shop on. Unfortunately right now, since I am neither a resident of US or Canada I could not shop there yet. Lucky US and Canadian residents! I’m hoping someday sometime, they’ll open up the treasure troves to international buyers and I might just put up six foot welcome banners, virtually of course.
Feature shop today is HauteLook.com. So what’s the big fuss about this website? Well, for one you can get one of a kind deals with them coz “HauteLook.com 48-hour sale events with the world’s top fashion, accessories, beauty, kids and home brands. Each day, HauteLook offers discounts of 50 to 75 percent off to millions of members in the U.S. and Canada.” And what’s more, ” In the last two years, over 1,000 high profile brands have chosen HauteLook to host more than 2,500 private events for women, men, kids, home, and beauty.”
So, you’d probably get now why I soo want to shop this place. Do check out the place and if you’re in US and Canada and you’re a fashion – shopoholic, I’m pretty sure you’d be bookmarking this shop.

4 Stylish Lounge Chairs
For some reason I’m quite drawn to home furnishings this time. Notice the lack of posts about fashion. Hahaha I do plan to rectify that soon. But for now let me indulge in my home furnishing mania.
I was looking for a nice lounging chair I could use for a reading nook in my ‘home office’ in planning. I could probably not be able to buy this online but I was still looking for some ideas or design base if I ever decide to have some customized here. I want something really comfy, stylish and of course, I am quite picky about the upholstery fabric. No itchy fabric or PVC type upholstery for me.
From several sites I’ve browsed, here’s what I liked.
Spruce Street Chair – $1,550 @ Serena and Lily
Ralph Lauren Langholm Chair – $1,399 @ Lord & Taylor
Canyon Chair – $1,850 @ Serena and Lily
Marjorie Chair – $1498 @ Anthropologie
I must say though, these stuff doesn’t come cheap but I do like the designs I might pick one and have the design custom made. I’m sure a furniture shop can make a decent if not exact copy.
Read MoreHome Decor on Sale!
It’s a girl thing too. I like looking at home decor and home styling ideas. I love pretty things and let’s face it, its a lot better than checking out motorhome repair, IMO. But I’m also wary about spending big bucks on decor. Thankfully a lot of online shops constantly have sales on home decor essentials.

I’ve been hopping about and picking out home decor items currently on sale. Here’s some random fab picks:
