Easy Milk Bath At Home
How often do I wish I could go to spa every so often? But with its hefty price tag and my often busy schedule the most I could have my spa pampering is once or twice a month. Now the best alternative to going to expensive spa is to have your own spa treatments at home. There are simple spa recipes you can make use of so you can have a little bit of pampering even at home.
I personally like milk baths and luckily this can be easily done at home. It’s a very effective way to relieve dry skin, skin itchiness and also works great to release your body from stress. So set aside some ‘ME’ time and with this simple recipe you can have a little pampering..
Easy Milk Bath..
Simply mix powdered milk with epsom salts and cornstarch using 3-2-1 ratio. If epsom salt is unavailable then you can substitute with baking soda and remove the cornstarch from the recipe. Mix all together, best with food processor or blender.
That’s the basic recipe. Now if you want to add some scents, you can do so just add some essential oils or fresh or dried leaves of lavender.
Milk and Honey Bath..
Use half-cup of liquid honey, mixed with 3 cups of powdered milk and add you favorite essential oil or lavender buds if you want it scented..
Milk Scrub ..
This is a personal favorite as it is great for exfoliating the skin. Mix 3 cups of powdered milk, 4 tablespoons of almond meal, 1 cup oatmeal, several drops of your favorite scented oil. Mix all together. Store in a jar. When you want to use, get a small muslin drawstring bag, place about half cup of the scrub, soak in water and exfoliate your skin..
