Miu Miu Sparkly Sneakers
Something for those who love glittery sparkly things. And a bit more incentive coz this is a Miu Miu. Not for me, I might be in need of roadside assistance if I dare strut about wearing this but I find this kinda cute. And not too overwhelming in spite of the glitters. Miu Miu is launching a five style sneaker collection soon.

It would feature classic tennis shoes glammed up with glitter, lamé, velvet, patent leather, studs, or crystals. Prices would be within $450 to $585 range.

Well…That’s me. To think that I have just been back from more than 6 weeks of absence but I could hardly call what I did traveling. It was a nerve wracking, exhausting 6 weeks (but I don’t want to bore anyone with the details…) so I’m badly in need of being recharged. So what did I do the day after we got back home, I began researching possible travel destinations. Somewhere near enough that I won’t spend days traveling and the expense is minimal. A week’s stay would do and I’m thinking whether to go check in a hotel or if I am to stay longer I should probably look for house for rent by owner.
I’m also contemplating whether I should go alone or with family. I dunno, but sometime I get the urge to have some alone, ‘me’time. But I’m thinking after a day or two I would probably miss hubby and my daughter so perhaps I’ll travel with them then ask for a day away on a spa or something so I could recharge? Hopefully, we could get away this September, which coincides with our 9th year wedding anniversary. I was hoping to make it this month, but husband has a lot of work related travel and August is out of the question since both of us would be really busy. October – November is out since I’ll be traveling back to the Philippines. So September looks good.
Since September is still a little far off, then we’ll be supplementing with some jaunts over to some places near where I am. You know, just to satisfy.. my itchy feet
Cheers to a New Year!
I’m just dropping in wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas and of course hopefully everyone will have a Happy and Prosperous New Year..
How was Christmas for everyone? Me, I was so busy and now I’m really aching all over and I feel like I’ve been run over by some bulldozer. I am really really in need of a good body massage or if not, a long warm bath. Makes me wish I included soaking tubs in my wish list.
I’m really happy with the loot I got this year. Lol! And I’ve got lots of things to look forward to in the new year. But before we welcome the new year with a bang, I’d like to say thanks for every bit of blessings that came my way this year. And I’m also appreciative of whatever trials I encountered, without which the successes wouldn’t have been that meaningful and all in all the experiences I had this year made me improve a lot as a person.
And I’m also thankful for blogging, for readers who stick to reading my sporadic and not at all times good posts. You inspire me, motivate me to be better.
That said, I wish for new and challenging opportunities this year. And hopefully it would be as fruitful if not more, than this year. Happy New Year!!
Read MoreOn Getting Help at Home
I’m a stay at home mom and wife for the past five years. For some, this might be regarded as some kind of charmed existence, and yes there are times I feel good to have more control of my time, but still the chores I have to do on a daily basis tends to be overwhelming.
After a few years I’ve learned to manage my time and now I could do things without much need of a helper, mostly because my daughter is now 7 and have now learned to be a bit more independent. After being a stay at home mom for the past few years I’ve been on the receiving end of questions and advice seekers if it’s entirely possible to run a household without a helper.
My answer would be, yes it is possible but I’m not a hypocrite either, so I would still advice getting a helper or a nanny if you can. Why? You can’t possibly manage everything on your own without getting some kind of help at least. It is very taxing in terms of time and effort. Remember, the main reason most of us choose to be a stay at home mom is to have more time to attend to our kids and husband. And it is just so easy to fall into the grind and too much chores and forget about where we should be spending more time with.
The trick is to take on what you can and don’t pretend to be superwoman. If you can’t find a helper or can’t afford one, then get help from your older kids or you can also ask hubby to pitch in with the chores. At the onset, things could be confusing and really overwhelming but do take a breather now and then and learn your limitations. That way, you won’t overtax yourself and could still focus on things that really matter.
And as for looking for helper and a nanny, well this can be a tricky task. It is just hard to find somebody trustworthy and would make us complacent enough to leave our house and children to be cared for. Though security measures like nanny cams are now a fad, I would still prefer my nanny to be a person I know or personally recommended by someone I trust implicitly.
Mulling over the past few years I’ve been a housewife, I would say that managing a home and raising kids and taking care of the family is in itself a hard, and challenging work.

Relax.. That’s what I need. I was so looking forward to this trip to the Philippines that I seriously didn’t consider it would stress me out. We made various stops until we got to our final destination and traveling with a child will just make one so weary.
Once we got to my parents place, I decided to tackle the things and errands I need to do so I could have at least two weeks of uninterrupted vacation and bliss. Now, the going to and fro, traveling, traffic and chaos here in Manila is getting to me. That’s why I really really enjoy living in Phnom Penh, the pace of life is much slower, less frantic and if you ask me less stressful and you won’t even be in dire need of any wrinkle lotion! But it’s another matter here in Manila where the crowds are maddening and people always seeming to be in a hurry.
I guess I have yet to adjust. I’m checking myself in later in a spa for some massage. I need it, badly..
